Decided I wanted to change the colour of my bike, since I was quoted £800 for a paint job!! wtf I only wanted one colour, I decided to do it myself…and when I say, I did it myself, I mean CheekyChick done it lol
Anyway…I usually find these threads don’t have enough pics so I took way too many…
TBH Chunky HE (no way it was me) thought about it too but it was getting dark so HE decided to do the hugger another day so HE fitted it back on after HE gave it a proper clean and removed all the chain lube and sticky muck
nah he didn’t use two tins, he used a third of the first one then I used the rest lol but im glad it came out better than I expected…there you go Kaos, that’s your birthday pressie sorted hehehehheeheeeee :P:P:P
I always wander about matt paint, how easy/difficult is it to clean? Since it doesn’t have a glossy smooth finish - when you pull a sponge across it, doesn’t it just rip the sponge to pieces/rub off …?
Or is half the point of matt paint that it doesn’t shine, therefore you don’t need to clean it?
Thanks I enjoyed doing the whole job. So far a damp cloth was enough to take all smudges/finger prints off after fitting the panels, the bodywork feels smooth and even but because it was the first time I did this I have made a couple of small mistakes which I’ve learnt from and won’t do again lol
