So are pinlock visors REALLY that good??

HAHA

Weird seeing this. Had no problems at all with mine until yesterday. The middle top of the visor did steam up a bit. Only had it since August. Maybe the film needs replacing?

I have got one with the silicone bead round the edge so it holds the pinlock visor away from the main visor, it has never fogged up in year round commuting, maybe i am not a heavy breather like some of you

We ride faster than you so our breather increases slightly. Your almost in a vegative state when riding

As has been said, you just need to adjust the pins - they have cams on them to change the pressure on the actual insert.
Sometimes the whole insert moves a little when the pins arent adjusted correctly, especially on opening on closing the visor, leaving a small gap for air to get through…hence fogging up.

Eventually you cant adjust them anymore but when I was actually riding regularly, mine still lasted well over a year.
I wouldnt ride without them and its scary seeing all the people on misted up visors on wet trackdays.
Oh and there isn’t a film on it that needs replacing…if you damage the surface of it, you will need to buy a new one

Love mine, my horrible fiance talked me out of using it now i just bitch about the fogging.

only every used pin lock so i cant compare but i can say I have never had any issues with mine. Deff wont buy a helmet without one

only time my arai one ever fogged up was when in snow, but the ice on the inside of the visor was more of an issue really

How have you gone 7 years without one!! Simple idea but great and has never failed me on my arai!

The Pinlock on my Neotec is giving me no end of grief. First it couldn’t be adjusted properly, so it misted up on the inside (one of the visor pins was so stiff it couldn’t be turned). That’s now turned correctly, but now the actual pinlock layer mists up on the inside. Nowhere near as badly as the visor itself, but it does. The cheap stick-on pinlock on my previous cheap lid was flawless. Any thoughts on a possible cause?

the previous caberg konda i used had no pinlock, it fogged up very badly, i now am using a HJC IS-MAX BT, no pinlock yet but it no where near fogs up as bad, ordered pinlock ready visor and insert for it from the states about a week ago, still waiting for them

Have you ever noticed Guy Martin on the TT fogging up his visor? No, like me he is not a wobbling, buffooning , heavy breathing, uncontrollable panting beginner shitting himself about parking outsude a Croydon bike shop ? - huh huh huh hun hmmmmmmmmmmm

NOW GET ON YOUR PRETTY ITALIAN PLASTIC ROCKET AND GET OVER TO INMOTO AND BUY A PINLOCK VISOR IF YOU CAN STOP QUAKING ABOUT IT YOU TART

PILLOCK HAS TWO L’S.
