Snow!

Yes I know, you’d have to be crazy to ride in the snow. But… Has anyone ever come across these?

I have a Norwegian friend who rides a bike in the winter, we got to talking and he gave me the link. Apparently they’re good to carry with you in winter “just in case” you get caught in snow, much the same as I have autosocks in my car (used to carry chains for emergencies but the socks are good and a damn sight easier to put on!).

I can imagine being stuck somewhere miles from home and being unable to move because of the snow… These might at least allow me to get somewhere warm to wait it out! Thoughts?

I am no fair weather rider, but you must be bonkers!

Saw something similar in northern Spain many years back, but they were still chain based and on a car.

Having ridden in pretty much all weathers over the years, getting rear wheel grip is the first problem, having the front wash out quickly follows.

These aint going to be too great on the front of a bike.
