hello everyone,
first things first ide like to thank everyone for the words of comfort…ive only just managed to get to the computer as im in agony at the moment.
big thank you to pav,flyby,sincere,chris,andyp69 and tony for visiting me at home and special thanks to andyp69 for picking up my bike…shes looking good considering and looks like i’ve come off worse than the bike…
right it happened while i was coming home from work last night,there was heavy traffic all along the M4 down to the A4…
as i was filtering threw the traffic,it was looking dangerous,so i decided to be sensible and pull into the center lane…
about a minute of being there,at a split second the car in front of me slammed on his brakes without a second to spare…i gave a fist full of front brake,and the bikes arse end went strait into the air…throwing me about 10 feet(so the car behind me stated to the police)…my knees caught the bars of the bike,throwing my upper torso in a down type angle and me going face first into the cars rear bumper…there was a sickly loud bang as my helmet hit the car…
the bike was still on its nose and baling over and it slammed into my body,breaking my ribs…luckley,i had on my back protector,which the doctor said saved me from being paralyzed and prob saving my life…
i laid there on the road so scared…but went threw a mental checklist…after wiggling my fingers and my toes…i could feel the pain like no other threw out my back area…i was just saying in my helmet…’‘please be ok…please be ok…ohh jesus christ please be ok…’’
a women and an off duty police officer came over to me and the woman held my hand…comforting me while i lay in the middle of the road…holding my hand and reassuring me…i owe so much to her…
my partner was called and was on her way…she is a nurse,and got all the relevant information…
i was then taken to charring cross hospital were they did all sorts of x-rays and tests…they decided to keep me in for overnight observation…
this morning the women who held my hand at the scene came to visit me and i gave her a huge thank you…that was so nice of her to come…
i was discharged in the afternoon and tamsin(my partner) has been doing a absolute fantastic job in looking after me…
i feel so lucky right now…i really do…everything hurts so much right now but im glad ive got mates like i have…
well i’ll be off to get comfortable for the night…hopefully i wont be laid up for too long…

GWS Shane at least you’re here to tell the tale… again if we had known we would’ve picked the bike up for you considering how/where it was left, we don’t mind doing anything for anyone to get them out of trouble.

well ive had a good nights sleep and will take pictures of the bike…shes looking like a rabbit with a floppy ear due to the mirror being broken at the stem…:(.
theres scratching an the rear panel…and on the front nosecone,but thats just about it…ohh and a small dent on the petrol tank…and scuffing on the screen…
andyp69 fired her up went he dropped her off and she fired first time:D.tis a testament of what gixxers are made of…;).
as for me…im walking like a 90 yr old who has been sat in his own **** for 20 years with a girlfreind who in between taking good care of me,she’s taking the right **** outta me…lol…thanx luv…:doze:.
so im gonna be at the computer most of the day as i cant move very far…lol.so i’ll be on MSN…
