Comming home from adam h’s house i took the A205 home…the journey was un-eventful untill i got near catford.
theres a strait road on the last leg of the journey and i decided to overtake a car as it was safe enough to do so…
As i indicated,i pulled out to the middle of the road and began the commitment to overtake.I got to beside the car and realized that the car i was overtaking was speeding up…so i pulled on the throttle and started to gain on him…
i noticed a car comming up in the oposite lane and so decided to put on the gas alittle bit more to complete the manouvour when i saw a yellow traffic cone staring at me and comming towards me fast…there was noware to go as i had a car next to me and a car comming opposite and i was doing about 65mph…
so my only option was to hit it bang on…and hit it i bluddy did…
The front end went like jelly and the bike tried to spit me off ,slinging my legs level to my petrol tank…horrible tankslap…
fortunatley, the bike settled and went strait again…leaving me shaken…but soo happy that it was’nt worse…
ive now got yellow paint up the side of the bike that im gonna have to T-cut out…ffs…but as i said, and my past experience noted here…im so glad i was saved by my bike…as it could have been alot worse…
so keep a keen eye out there peeps…it was probibley some idiot finding it funny to put a cone in the road…yea…thanks ******!!!

Wel done to Not Come Off, but next time, discretion may be the better part of valour - if involved in racing on the streets of London - let the Knobber think he’s won - then do him at the next set of lights!! Easy - cars are never going to beat a bike thro’ London - even a slow one like yours!
Anyone read Riders Digest this month? There’s a very well-written article from one biker who was ‘challenged’ by a car. Long story short, when hoofing it, the bike pulls into the left lane and slings on the anchors just as the car shoots past him with the satisfying double-flash of the speed camera he didn’t notice because of his battle with the bike.
Car 0, Bike 1 I think!
Glad you’re ok this time Smiled, but please make sure you keep us smiling and don’t pick any more fights, with bollards or car drivers.
