Ha ha. You are, of course, spot on! Deal was just about OK on the V-Strom but I wasn’t prepared to entertain tyre-kickers at home and they had a little Hornet which was just what I wanted. Dealt with Peter. Very nice chap.
I brought the V-Strom as a second bike and specifically for a trip to Spain and Portugal. As much as I absolutely love it, I now need a bike that people under 5 foot 9 can ride and they are struggling with the sheer size of the V-Strom. What a superb bike though. Really wished I could have kept it and, if I was a wealthy b*gger, I would have done!
Zeus44 the Hornet is an amazing bike - in my opinion the styling is ace - the small size of the Hornet coupled with it’s brilliant performance is part of it’s charm - also for practical reasons - e.g. being so light and small - yet powerful - you can fillet London traffic on it - and easily beat other bikes in the urban grand prix (if that’s your bag) - which is fun - especially when the other bikes happen to be flashy sportsbikes etc:D - You can also happily cruise at the ton on it - with the knowledge that you have 130m.p.h. + performance if you need it - make no mistake - the Hornet is a proper motorbike. I reckon in years to come it will be seen as a bit of a cult-classic. Think of it as a streetfightered CBR600 (the source of the brilliant engine) but with better mid-range. The only drawback is that you will turn into a hooligan every time you get on it:D Check out the website;)
