Sidi stockist in London

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a decent sidi stockist in London? I was at Hein Gericke, but it looks like they’re not doing them anymore (if they ever did).

While we’re on the topic, can anyone recommend an alternative to the Sidi gore-tex boots for winter? I’m looking for something that I can use all year around, but that will keep me properly dry in winter.

Thanks…

Puma do a good gortex boot. My friend got his at Rex Judd in West Hampstead.

Depending on the £££ you have to spend, I think the SIDI Goretex are about £200, for £250 you can get the daytona road star, which is waht I’ll be getting this winter…I think they’ve got a 5 year warrenty with them too!

Thanks for the responses - any idea where I can get a pair of either the daytona or sidi in London ?

Thanks,

Infinity at hangar lane do the daytona and sidi boots… I think they will have the alpinestars goretex when they come in…

Hi

Firstly you are correct, Hein gericke uk have never stocked Sidi’s of any description and in light of a alternative. I would recommend the Alpinestar SMX R Goretex, in all honesty a hell of a better boot, guaranteed 100% waterproof, excellent armour and perfect for everyday use. These can be obtained through me at HG WELLING.

Hope that helps

Danny

I have a pair of the A* SMX Plus. Not a bad boot, but I went through several pairs of the internal lace straps and now wear the Sidi Vertigo Corsa which is a far better boot. Sidi do a slight variant of my boot in Gortex which I hear is very good. I’ve used these guys before and have been helpful.

I tried the A*s on at Hein Gericke, but I found them really uncomfortable. Of course, I might find the Sidi equally uncomfortable, in which case I’ll be back knocking on your door

You weren’t wearing them last night. Looked like cowboy boots to me!

That was for Hayden, sorry! lol

Alex where did you see me last night?

lmao - Hanger Lane. But technically it was this morning

Sorry mate, I didn’t twig it was you on the Triple. Late one, cold as ice.

I thought so - that cold numbed all my bits too.

I really need to carry some thermals in my rucksack!

There used to be a bike shop down near Green Lanes in North London, but not sure if it is still there, but they used to do Sidi.

Whereabouts? I live just off Green Lanes

I cant belive ive never seen you around there mate… I live around there too!

Hmm - no joy with harpers, they don’t seem to have my size.

I’ve now tried the Sidi B2 and the A*s and couldn’t get on with either of them. I can’t actually get my right foot into the sidi, mainly down to some scarring from my last crash. I was hoping this being a wider fit might work.

I’ll have to keep looking.

Come down to Infinity Hanger Ln, we stock Sidi, Alpinestars, Gaerne and Frank Thomas

These are a bit more than £250 but you could have a look at the Daytona Sport EVO GTX. I use these and like you have a few to many scars / injuries that make my foot hard to get into tothe other ‘leading brands’ as I’ve found them a bit on the narrow side.

I’ve had mine 2 years and found them comfortable on the bike and walking around off the bike and the protection is not so ‘in your face’ as other boots. And they’re waterproof too!

Okay they’re over £300 however the NEC Bike show is coming up and so you might find a good deal - saying that you might be better of waiting for the bike show regardless.
