Shoya Tomizawa

A very sad day in MotoGP after an horrifc accident and Shoya Tomizawa died in hospital.

R.I.P

Yeah it was a terrible crash.

R.I.P to Shoya…Seemed like a really happy young kid.

Saw it too, very nasty. Heart breaking to watch the guy going round telling the riders the news after the race, one by one.

Very sad.

RIP Shoya, a great guy and a true loss.

I have to say, I am quite disgusted with the DORNA/MotoGP/Misano response to a man lying unconcious in the middle of a track full of “do-or-die”, fighting for contract racers doing more than 150 miles an hour…

And I am not just referring to Shoya either, Scott Redding was lying there unable to move as well. Frankly their refusal to put out the red flag, was disgraceful and sickeningly oblivious of the danger they put people’s lives under. Scott’s, the marshalls and the medics too.

+1

Not sure if I totally agree with their decision, but here’s their response.

I saw that, I was impressed at how quick they were to defend their actions. Something tells me the internal PR in every corporate scumbag told them that that response was shockingly questionable and they’d better explain the lack of red before the number two seriously started hitting the whirling air cooling device!

They KNOW they got it wrong… let’s just hope the riders have the sense and the guts to stand up to them and give them some grief too, because the riders who are expecting those marshalls, medics and directors to be looking out for them ARE THE ONLY ONE’s the management will listen to … no one else has ANY leverage whatsoever!

@MotoGPJules

RIP #48 + #74

It seems the BBC have pulled the whole Moto2 coverage from iPlayer.
