Show plates

seriously thinking of this

a noob question whats the difference between show Plates & No Thrills Plates?

Probably cos the show plates aren’t technically legal, therefore they are only for use “in shows”.
I ordered a plain one (albeit a slightly smaller size than my original one!) very fast service and seems to be decent quality too.

can you put the londonbikers logo on a plain one?

Yes.

Mine was plain with just the LB logo on the bottom:)

cool! one plate being ordered :smooooth:

Quick update - i’m now officially a DVLA Registered number plate supplier (RNPS)

that means i can now supply fully legal plates with bs marking etc on and no hassle from police or mot testers

but for a fully legal plate, i need to see ID and proof of vehicle reg.

So ok, what is the smallest and “fanciest” I can have it, yet keep it legal?

Size, font, images, slogans etc.

Good question :stuck_out_tongue:

Easy… You can’t have small or fancy to be legal… You have to be BIG and BORING:P

Say it isn’t so :crying:

standard or standard 3d font, letters of 64mm, 11mm from edge of plate etc etc etc. GB/UK badge is legal. Suppliers name+postcode and BS marks. Border is legal.

so basically, a big fat 9"x7" air brake

I think mine is that anyway then, oh well, c’est la vie.

This is a good idea you got - just been on the site (looks like a lot more badges, models/makes and writing styles to go yet) but cheap enough to make all my customers use your service! Can you drop me off some business cards and i’ll reccomend you to all my customers asking for small plates! (you’ll need the R1 logo added)

I work for George Whites (london branch) - i’ll forward your cards to the other salesmen in the other shops to hand out aswell (adding our site to your links wouldn’t hurt;) )

sorry for the lack of comms, due to personal circumstances, i am currently in the process of moving house! internet access has been minimal, except at work, where its not allowed anyway!

all things being well, i should be moved in around early/mid november, then ready to start rolling plates out again a few days after.
