Shameless Plug

Hey All,

Firstly, admins - if this thread breaches the rules, please knobble it - but I’m hoping that this is of actual benefit to some people, and I have nothing to gain my advertising this.

Everyone else!

… I know quote a lot of you work from home, for yourselves or freelance on the weekends - I’ve spent the last 7 months building an almost-ebay like service, where people who want quotes for anything can get a quote, online from suppliers in their area.

This spans right across the Insurance/Financial categories (we imagine that’ll be our bread and butter) down to the humble bloke making curtains for narrow-boats in his living room, right across the board of products, services and assistance.

Wasp, I imagine there’s a category for Safety clothing, and maybe bike leathers (there’s over 1300 categories right now, and the category team are still developing it)

Charlie, there’s electricals and electrical engineers on here too…

There are national and local ads, national - being as it wounds… well, national - and local ads are a given number of miles radius around a given postcode.

There’s also an option to choose a style where your little Ad is intended to point to your site, rather than offering the customer a way of contacting you through our site.

We’re trying to rival the Yellow Pages … but Online and Interactive - with elements of Ebay incorporated

The site is supposed to have something for everyone, and it’s still in free Beta - for 6 months, and in truth we’ve no immediate plans to charge anyone anything while we are developing the service.

The site is www.quote.co.uk - and I honestly hope that you guys find a use for it - I trust your judgments better than most groups, and I respect your feedback

Advice, hints, suggestions, complaints and grief, all directed squarely at me please

… Admins, sorry again if this is considered against the grain of the done-thing on here, Please edit/adjust/knobble as necessary.

I’m not sure if this would benefit me as most people know we are the cheapest seller of bike gear with the best customer service already!!

Great title though!! LOL

Most people also know that I like a bit of controversy and am not backward in comming forward…

Well worth a second viewing!

Alex - you are boring me now.

Have read it all before, your ‘interesting/controversial posts’ all have the same edge YAWN!!!

Quite happy for you to delete them if they are not relevant.

Did the 126 reply and 2829 viewings think the same?

It’s such a shame that you can’t promote your shop on it’s own merits.

Perhaps it has none?

Nothing to do with relevancy

You may be very very right there!! LOL. Merits … what are they?

Well edgy will do then!

That’s 2829 chances for your care and consideration to shine through then…not;)

I thought so!:Whistling:

Hi all. I like the tytle!!
