Very very very few people are interested in buying a used helmet. Just letting you know.
I did that when I first started but you grow wise
I shifted all my old gear on Ebay and got a fair price for everything. Used boots do well with delivery riders.
I sold one of my old helmets on Ebay but I regret doing that now. Sold it for £1 noting that it was scratched to hell and had been an an accident. The dodgy chap who picked it up in a van was 100% going to give it to one of his takeaway delivery riders.
Please do not sell your helmet second hand.
Apart from the hygiene aspect, if someone were to have a crash and suffer a head injury, it could leave you open to litigation and liability for a personal injury (assuming that you can be identified as the seller 
)
From a moral point of view, its not worth it.

Ebay has the broadest set of buyers but not easy to use for bulky items as the postage will be difficult and expensive and finding someone local is a gamble.
Have a look at the local Facebook community groups in your area but, again, depends how many bikers wanting to buy are there.
My wife sells everything on vinted but not sure that is the place. It is the one with less risk for a seller because buyers pay all the fees, so maybe start there.
You determine the price you want to sell at really… And then adjust if it sells or not but it’s a case of trying different platforms until something works. Generally speaking I think you have to expect to take a bigger hit than other categories as biking 2nd hand gear is not a case of cosmetic damages, but safety ones…
As for helmet selling, I have no ethical qualms as long as you are very clear about what the helmet has suffered (drops, knocks etc) but what T.C. mentions about liability would worry me (I had not considered it). Often people are looking for a spare helmet for an occasional pillion…
