Peeps! … Having just started as self-destroyed again, I need an accountant in the Milton Keynes / Bucks / Beds area; I have often found it is better to use a recommended accountant than sticking a needle in the yellow pages. And I’d much rather use a biker too!

I know some accountants get you to enter all your receipts on an excel spread sheets (I can do bed sheets, even duvet covers…) so they can just ‘finish off’ at the end of the year; what I am really loooking for is a an accountant / biker who can help me prep my books. I’d rather give my money to a bike riding accountant than a Volvo/BMW/Mercedes driver any day…
The telephone conversation would go like this, if I have to go through the yellow pages:

Hi Toast, would if help if I set up an easy to maintain spreadsheet for you? You could just fill in what you’ve earned and what you’ve spent each week/fortnight/month and give it to an accountant at the end of each year. Otherwise you’ll end up paying £xx per hour for doing something very basic.
There are a couple of things that will make a difference to how much of an accountants time you really need e.g.

She-Wolf, something like that would help me - I’m an IT nerd, and usually do a little underhand-foreigners on the side, but I’d like to turn that into more without getting knobbled by the tax man!
I will help also if need be, but am currently studying for my finals as well as having a stupid work load, so my time is quite limited, but if I can help I will, just as the question.
I personally wouldnt be able to complete your tax return as my firm would restrict me and it is not exactly my department, but my firm may be able to help you with your tax return submission.
