Secure Parking In Kingston?

I neeed to pop down to Kingston later today and I’ll need to take the bike.

Does anyone know of any secure bike parking in or near the centre of Kingston? I need to get to the Bentall Centre, so the closer to there the better. I’m going to take my Almax with me but I still need something to chain the bike to :slight_smile:

Sorry can’t think of any secure bike parking. The ones near to the Bentalls centre in Fife Road/Clarence? and near Lidl (off Eden Street?)don’t have any security iirc. I’m not sure if Kingston has any secure parking you might have to ring the parking services.

I also can’t think of any secure parking in Kingston. there is however loads of bike spaces. Dolphin Street is closest to Bentals, but Fife Road is also good. The only place where I can think of anything you could chain it to would be St James Road where there is some railings, trees etc which may be close enough.

There’s some on street motorcycle parking on Adelaide Walk I think it’s called (a little side street just before you go round the Clarence Street one-way system).

If you have a chain, why not just link it through others that are parked there?

go down dolphin street push it into the pedestrian bit and chain it where the pushbikes do, cant see that being a problem, just make sure its outta the way when our numpties go to deliver in a 40 footer tonight, we get the lampost so a bike is fair game :D:)

Any part of the one-way system. It is usually stationary so I am sure no-one will mind you popping into the shops.

You will have at least 50 people with nothing else to do but watch your bike too.

In the end I just parked it off the side of Wood Street opposite the enterance to the Bentall Centre and legged it over the road to pick up what I needed to. I couldn’t secure it properly so I just parked it up behind the other bikes parked there so it was out of the way :slight_smile:
