As posted earlier I went for a longish ride yesterday-120 miles and my are was killing me by the time I got home. I should probably point out now that the sore are was from sitting on the bike for a few hours
The thought crossed my mind that if I had ridden further away I would have left the bike there and got the train back!
The bike is a MZ Baghira and the seat is fairly narrow.
What do you guys do about the seat on a supermoto, I am presuming I am not the only one who finds it uncomfortable? Any thoughts on air/gel seat covers, does anybody use them? or should I just ride more and complain less
Hello dannyboy, I had my seat re padded with softer compound foam. The over all height difference in nothing and you cannot tell it has been done, I rode mine for 16 hours one day and got off with no sore bum or anything. If you go to a good upholsterer it will only cost about £30.
You’ll get used to it mate trust me, just ride it. My KTM SMC was like a plank next to an MZ seat and I did a couple of 200 mile days without too much effort, its just painful for the first few months until your harris gets used to it
Or you could do the intelligent thing and get a comfort seat, but if your intelligent you shouldn’t have brought a Tard
Hahahaha no offence taken and no I dont have a big bum, my jeans are size 32", hope this information helps…(dont know how and why it should matter if I have a big bum).
My old man used to have an MZ baggy before some theiving Knut took a shine to it…He had the same problem… Until he got himself a gell seat - solved the problem instantly!
