some fella came up to us at BM last night asking us to sign his petition and give money to the Save Borough Market Appeal?
Blatent scam! surley petitions dont ask for money? anyone else see him?
Yep we saw him with no ID or badge or whatever.
Still signed his petition and gave him some pennies, softy that I am:)
I think they are actually expanding the railway there, but he is defo pocketing the money if you ask me. especially as he is selling a FREE magazine… although I guess changing to a signing now looks a little more offical
he always comes round begging and i have been known to give him some pennies in the past but when he’s latently trying a scam like last night then he gets fug all. Funny how when he realised he wasn’t going to get any money out of our group he settled for just the one signature…
what did he look like, think he came up to me, i was eatting in the steak house, and we were drinking outside and someone came up begging.
