Rye Harbour is where all the bikes go to. The roads round that area are fantastic.

me too not more than a newbie mate… i’ll like a gentle pace to keep the speed cameras happy… we can decide on the location to meet first…and depending on how early we can meet, we can decide the time to start… I live in Lewisham. Busa…do u have any place in your mind for us to get together…??
not sure how much of the route will be fully open as the tour will be heading through on Sunday…
Head out from Maidstone towards Tenterden, then across to Ashford (A28 ) , then either towards Canterbury on the A28, or (my fave road) the A251 towards Faversham (home of the Shepherd Neame brewery). From there you can head back towards London or down to Whitstable and the coast.
I’ll going to be organising a ride out to Whitstable over the summer if people are interested.
If I’m free on Saturday I’d be willing to show you the route above

ah, a location and a time. Now that is what this topic was missing 
I’ll be down at Rye at some point today as it is only 10 minutes around the corner from my olds house. I only rolled out of bed an hour ago and feeling a bit lazy.
…well I joined him… and had a fantastic adventure! (thanx u!) Great to see the kite surfers on the ocean - good day for it.
Well I was in Rye about 5pm. Only a handful of people there then. Went home, then was going to go out again about 8pm. Got about 30m from the front door, police closed the road off. There was a fatal about a mile down the road. Car rolled into a field. RIP fella. That is two in a year I know of. Kind of kills your enthusiasm a bit.
