Sat Nav Fitting??

Has anyone got a Garmin Zumo fitted to a Sports Bike?? Fireblade??

I am going to buy one tomorrow or Tuesday and was wondering where is the most ideal place to fit it. My blade is a 918 (RR-T) with the screen support bars (not sure of the technical name for them).

think you can get the top yoke mounts? or you can use the in car windscreen holders

Was worried that it would fall off the inside of the screen to be honest. Does anyone else use the car holder on the bike?

could try something like this…

Use a ram mount, there are various fixing options available

I had this problem with my CBR; RAM mounts do a brilliant little thing that goes into the steering head bolt; mount on that. Perfect position, very secure, easy to fit and cheap. RAM mounts all the way.

I’ve got one fitted to a ZX6R. The mount and holder in the box are fine if you get a yoke nut RAM fitting. Check out www.telferizer.co.uk - there are other options. Get your petrol tank up and rout the cables through to the battery, easy peasy. There are clutch assembly screws but it makes the zumo stick out from the fairing (flies!! ).

Well…in the end I just fitted my car sat nav bracket to the bike in a DIY fashion, and a rather good one at that!

Simply used an existing hole at the header of my petrol tank, with a combination of washers and bolts. Need to take it off and spray it black to blend in, however it does the job well!

Plus its been tested at 147mph and I still have the sat nav! (obviously off road ;))
