S1000rr

Not sure about that Pete, not with me on board:P

so much for the 6k rpm or whatever run in period :stuck_out_tongue:

184bhp 186mph limiter zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I’m sure that will be bypassed. For race track use only of course.

Does it also come with a nappy when you kak yourself when you first open the throttle to 100%???

European manufacturers don’t necessarily adhere to the Japanese gentleman’s agreement (funnily enough  ) so you might be pleasantly surprised that your speedo reads past 186 MPH (although you’ll still only be doing a slow 170 odd  )

What ever the top speed, it will be fun finding out;)

Not quite the fastest production motorcycle - the MTT is 320bhp off the peg, and is classed as a production bike, the worlds fastest and largest BHP.

But the BMW is less than £15K !!! Good luck PJ, you are getting a lot of bike there mate but you can handle it.
See you on a ride when you get it.

184bhp… 200+ with an aftermarket can and a set-up!

Check post #17 onwards, looks interesting!

Basically in a discussion about RSV4’s not selling too well, the S1000RR was mentioned and this was posted about them:

This could be one reason it is not selling too well…

This one has 12 miles on the clock and is just over 200BHP at the wheel! Only had the pipe fitted and not been fully set up! It is also tiny for an inline 4!

When asked about whether the figures were good or not:

Yes it accurate… The dyno has seen loads of BSB bikes and this is going to be used in Superstock so IF the chassis is good I think it will be a winner…Only needs about another 10-15BHP to run with the best BSB bikes.
The bike just needs the traction control fitting but apparently the bike the race boys buy has an unlocked ecu so it can be programmed more easily than say a Ducati 1198R

It will end in tears or some japanese designers falling on swords later this year!!!

Loving the sound of this even more:P

Hurry up March;)

Ooooh, I’ve been speaking with BMW in NY about this bike too. There’s a bike show this weeeknd so I can check it out there and my local dealer should have a demo for me to try in Feb. Standard cost here is $13,800 (GBP 8,625 ish) :Whistling: It might be more restricted here with crappy emission rules but if that is the case I’ll need to find somebody to ‘fix it’ for me

You might be ok Sherrie, i think they are already EU4 compliant
