Rugby World Cup...Result Spoiler

Not sure if any of you peeps are Rugby supporters, but I couldn’t help myself, I’m DREADING tonight…will probably be watching it with a huge box of tissues, and yes I’m that sad!

What a joy it was watching it 4 years ago, how agonising watching it now…

I hope we’ll hold back the boks from giving us a totally embarrassing stuffing…but with no Wilko, no Barkley…and, and a team management that has no clue who’ll be wearing the No10 shirt…hum lets see, Catty or Farrell, lets flip a coin shall we!!

Rant over…for now

:crying:

A right sad state of affairs it is too but we can live in hope !!

Im just gonna do down the pub get wasted and hope for the best!

COME ON ENGLAND!!!

As you say, such a difference from 4 years ago…

Not sure the fly-half situation will affect the outcome. Not even sure I can bring myself to watch.

:crying:

Well I’m watching and I’m still hoping - always hoping.

We don’t know what’s going to happen - the form book says we’ve had it but let’s wait and see!

Am working til 8:15 so am taping it. We’ll be lucky to reach the quarters the way we’ve been playing tbh

IF England meet Australia at any point during this tournament, and understanding that my wife and child are both Australian…

What is the correct household etiquette if England lose? Do I kick them both out of the house, or just the wife and never tell the boy his true heritage?

Start Un-controllable Sobbing, Lay on the Floor Kicking your Legs and Flapping yours Arms, After Shes witnessed this for 5 mins you,ll be offered 20 Quid to go to the Pub !!!

:hehe::smiley: have you tried that one out then Barro?Rammo, rather you than me mate, I’d find it bl00dy hard to live with an aussie when they practically beat us at every game! in fact, if there’s one team I’d like to see out, out, out, it’s the wallabies!

Well there’s always the 20/20 World Cup cricket - the Aussies are not having a good time there at the moment…

To put it bluntly, England are buggered this time round… :frowning:

T’was great last time, the aussie birds me and Will met (at his then GFs bday party) were very quiet that night…made a change

On the grounds that I will probably end up shouting at the TV I will be staying in to watch tonights match!

There is no expectation for England to do well this year, so in some respects it is more enjoyable watching the matches. I won’t be gutted when the World Cup is carted off to another country, after all no other nation has managed to retain the title.

I don’t think we can blame the current management for the situation with the England team as they’ve only been in place for months. The whole set up after the last world cup was wrong! :frowning:

Just concentrate on World Sidecar racing, the Ausies havn’t managed to beat us in that yet! Saying that, nor have many countries. :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t get me started mate. We’re on a mission to the Alma in Wandsworth aand there’ll be Afrikaaner blood staining the posh cobbles of Putney if they’re not careful!

Fingers crossed eh!

Mate, you’re in too deep, you married her in the first place. Licence to call yourself an England fan is hereby revoked, you have 20 minutes to tidy your home and leave the country or Customs and Excise will come and do it for you…

Does that mean I get to enjoy watching sport again? Except for the sidecar racing, obviously.

As someone who will be supporting South Africa tonight I wouldnt be crying into your pints just yet. South Africa have a horrible habbit of choking when it matters.

That said…

Go BOKKE!!!

Clever reverse pyschology there, eh, but its not going to work!

oh mate, is that what you’ve been reduced to watching, sidecar racing?!! remind me NOT to get involved with an aussie, ever!! :hehe:

at the moment sweetie…and for some reason, I can’t get into cricket! just not exciting enough, but if we star beating the aussies, then I’ll start cheering the barmy army sharpish
