RIP Massimo Tamburini

Massimo Tamburini obituary: The ‘Michelangelo of motorbike design’ who conceived iconic machines for Cagiva, Ducati and MV Agusta

I can’t believe no one responded to your post.

In his own quiet way Tamborini was almost an effing legend. Apart from being a qualified mechanical engineer he was a first rate sculptor of two wheeled machines.

And no mean rider. Reportedly he was often stopped by the Italian police but always got away with whatever with a chat about motorcycles and an autograph he was that revered.

Only just seen this - yes, this is a major loss - Tamburini was an incredible and hugely influential designer.

He brought Italy’s great reputation for aesthetic beauty, originality, innovation and flair to motorcycle design - most notably the MV Agusta and Ducati 916.
