Hello
I’ve removed the tired old stickers from my matt black 2001 Aprilia RSVR to make way for a custom set and it seems that when they were fitted a clear laquer coat was put over the top to seal them.
now i’ve removed them i have different shades of matt black where the stickers used to be… arse.
anyone know if i can polish or clean the laqure coat off somehow or is it a case of getting the laquer redone? if so anyone know a good company who can do some custom graphics from my designs and re-laquer the bike?
thanks
J
Seems to me relaquer is the only way, ya cant polish cos where the sticker was there aint no laquer.
You could just stick yer new stickers over where the old were, should be ok if covers same area.
na… getting custom stickers done so need a full re-laquer first i guess.
Again i reckon ya 2 options on the re laquer front.
1, realquer and stick decals on after, this is good if ya wanna take em off in the future.
2, stick decals on first then relaquer over the top, decals will be protected here but will have same prob if wanna take decals off in future. i’d prefer this way, any1 else? if doing this ask where ya buying decals from if there ok to laquer over top of em though, i have heard some just dont take with laquer.
