As already posted under 'only following orders ’ am planning a few drinkies on fri 5th dec and wondered if anyone has any suggestions for an area with a selection of decent pubs which must searve real ale.
Thought about starting off at borough where there are some cracking pubs but its sort of isolated from anywhere else.
So i guess covent garden / soho is probably better, just need a starting point and i’m sure it will all fall into place from there 
The Proterhouse in Maiden Lane Covent garden brews some very nice ales.

Was supposed to be away in Tenerife but V has been told she can’t now fly until March.
Taking her down to the New Forest instead but think we are coming back on Friday afternoon so may well be able to make it.
The ales taste good at the Lamb and Flag in Covent Garden, it’s a tad small, but a good pub.

It’s a Shepherd Neame pub, so a good selection of Ales. Though it can get busy if there is football on the telly.
Yea thanks nivaq ,i already had the lamb and flag as a probable stop en route. one thing i cannot stand in pubs is big screens with football on so the freemasons will be given a miss.
Think after the porterhousewill poss take in or at least look at the nell gwyn,the essex serpent,green man and french horn,the porcupine,salisbury,and lamb and flag
Then might drop into the intrepid fox and crowbar altho the beer is not good the atmosphere is cool.
Of course this plan could change completely :rolleyes:
