The usual puncture story, probably my fault for filtering through crap. AA man came out and plugged it (pretty much attacked it with a screwdriver first :(). It’s a new Dunlop Sportmax and only has about 800 miles on it.
Two questions:
How long can I run on a temporary repair?
Any recommendations for a decent puncture repair shop in North West London/Middlesex?
Can you get over to Essential Rubber? The AA repair will probably be a just temporary push in rubber band fix and it is not recommended for high speed and I’ve known one start to leak again. Motorcycle tyre fitters such as E.R. will remove the tyre and put in a proper internal patch/plug for about £20 in about 15mins, which will last the life of the tyre and is ok for high speeds.
