Quite A few weeks ago fishface did a 3 day restricted course / test but unfortunately 2 hrs before the test managed to stuff their bike into the side of a van and got arsy with the instructor when they wouldnt give her another bike to take the test
Since then she has done a lot of miles without incident and today without any further instruction passed the test on her own bike :):)
She phoned me from the test centre and after congratulating her i just said to take it easy comming home cos she really didnt want to repeat the last test day happenings…
20 mins later, phone rings…Dad…you,l never guess whats just happened… Well the only thing that went through my mind was you,r talking to me on the phone thank god at least you,re ok, and yes she had had a spill but come off on a slippery surface as it started to rain , no other vehicles involved .
so she,s got a few bruises and the forks were twisted and footrest bent and few other bits but she still rode home
I came home from work, fixed the bike, took the L plates off and have given her strict instructions to stay off the bike at least till tomorrow cos she wanted to take it back out again today:blink:
I had 4 accidents in my first 2 years although that was down to my own insanity behind the rains of an Aprilia RS125. and seven years later have dropped my Bandit for the second time this year. :Whistling:
So dont take it too hard. Shittt happens… Just take your dads advise and take it easy from now on
