What was the twat riding would be nice to see him around and ask his opinion on safe riding…f*&"er

You get his reg? What bike was it? I presume a goldwing since it reverses…

I get it sorry the car reversed over you…did the car stop? You got to admit; really bad timing…

What a ****

To ride off like that is unforgivable:blink:

I hope you are back on the road shortly mate.

Would be nice if this rider is on your regular route;)

I think I’d have more sympathy for you if you hadn’t been ‘about to tt him’…the right to express your opinions without fear of violent recrimination is as important as the right to wear what you want, maybe he picked up on your desire to 'tt him’…if so then what he did is sort of understandable.

Did I read it right? A car reversed into you while you were concentrating on giving another biker an earful because he was complaining that you were wearing a t-shirt? :)

hang on guys…lol

i was at a red light & this guy was being rude to me coz i was wearing a t-shirt.when i said i wanted to twat him i didn’t mean it literally, i just thought he was an arse. i was actually smiling at him.

as for the car reversing, he had gone over the line & had stopped. then he started to reverse ,i saw him & started to beep my horn but he kept coming & i had nowhere to go.

Im not a bully…really…im a nice guy, GOT IT!!!..LOL

fair enough. I would have stopped to help you, even if you had been a bit of a bell end. I also don’t think anybody has the right to criticise you clothing choices.

It’s bad enough you get a ticking off from a 'know-it-all" biker, then a car reverses over you and your bike but THEN, you post up your sad and sorry tale and everyone has a pop at you! :w00t:

Perhaps it’s just not your day!

i posted coz i thought it was funny. & it would take a lot more that this to stop me smiling.theres me telling a guy ive not crashed in years then i get run over…now thats priceless…lol:Danyway, if a guy started throwing abuse at you on the street would wanting to smack him one make you a bellend…no!. you shouldnt have to take abuse like that from anyone.

Not to rub salt in the wounds you are obviously nursing, but will you wear protective gear from now on?
Has the incident changed your mind in any way?

i always wear my gear (well at least my jacket, boots if local & full kit for anything longer)) & i will not let anyone on the bike without protection

BUT

If im gonna ride local & its hot then i sometimes go without.

“Each to his own” I think is what you preach - and I quite agree.

I respect the fact that you posted this up as it shows you can laugh at the irony of the situation. I doubt the guy who was lecturing you at the lights would be laughing if it happened to him. Fair enough he felt he would educate you on why it’s imporotant to wear gear (even I am amazed at all the scooter riders riding without gloves on and feel for them if they have to depend on their palms to save their fall), because as someone pointed out we all have a right to our opinions. But laughing at you and leaving you there after seeing you being taken out; that is what makes the guy an absolute w***er!

Get well soon, and ride safe; with or without gear.

Exactly what I feel. “Each to there own f%&k the know it alls” Hope your well soon.

Giving someone your opinion is one thing, but riding off laughing, what a c__t

What was he riding ?
Did the car stop ?

Glad to hear you’re OK.

yeah, im fine. just pulled few muscles

the guy was on some sort of scrambler. & yes the driver did stop, apologised, admitted his wrong & we exchanged details

Ouch, sorry that happened to you.

The guy on the scrambler is a complete twat, not necessarily for having a talk about protective gear, but for riding away without helping you. Telling others your opinion because it is right, definitely in the biking code… Riding away when a fellow biker has been knocked off, definitely NOT in the biking code…:frowning:

Anyways, glad that the car said he was wrong, and you got his details, make sure you try and set some witness statements or keep the piccies, some car drivers are known to change their mind (as you well know from your other knocking down incident!! - what is it about your bike that makes people want to knock it over!!! )

One downside of not wearing the full gear is that you can’t now claim for a full set of leathers in the insurance claim…

Now I don’t want to be a hard ass (ok, maybe a little :P) but if you have the right to take risk with your skin and our money (considering the fact that we all finance the NHS and pay for all this when it goes wrong). Is it not the guy right to:
1- Express his disagreement on your recklessness (not that I don’t do the same sometime but I am willing to take the criticism about it as I know that I am wrong)
2- Laugh at you and ride off

Anyway, glad you are ok and that you can laugh about yourself. That alone make you a good guy in my book.

TELL ME ABOUT IT! ITS CRAZY. JUST GOT PAID FOR THE LAST CLAIM & THEN THIS DOZY NUBEND DECIDES TO TRY & KNOCK ME OFF IN HIS COMPANY VAN.

AS FOR NOT HAVING ON LEATHERS, THE CLOTHES I WAS WEARING COST A SMALL FORTUNE:P , & I HAD MY BOOTS ON.

PLUS THIS TIME I WAS ON THE BIKE & INJURED.

WHY DONT PEOPLE BLOODY LOOK WHERE THEY’RE GOING. IN TAKES A SECOND TO CHECK YOUR MIRRORS FOR GOD SAKE.

IVE GOT HIM ON VIDEO AMITTING FAULT, SMILLING TELLING THE CAMERA THAT HE REVERSED INTO ME. MY INSURANCE SAID I CANT USE THIS BUT MY LEGAL TEAM HAVE TOLD ME TO KEEP IT.
