well 21 s.e londoner, looking to complete the DAS in january…and then hopefully get a bike soon after…will be buzzing around here asking all sorts of newbie type questions so watch out! one thing that i must mention…i cant believe theres a meet in borough market every wednesday lol, i live about 20 minutes away…i work about 5 minutes away…am constantly being dragged to the nandos around the corner by the other half…and ive never once seen the gathering!! well if anyones around ill try and pop down 2moro, make a nuisance of myself and say really obvious things like “ohhh…that only has two wheels!” or “when u lift that piece of plastic up…i can see ur eyes!!”

I’m also new here and in a similar position, but I just recently called the DVLA, and apparently my provisional licence is on the way!!
I found people very welcoming here and willing to answer questions, the ‘Q&A’ forum is a good place to start. Check out the LB podcast as well, especially good if you’re into racing (although it seems to have stopped for the time being).
It’s good to find others who have recently been bitten by the TWO (two wheels only) bug!

thanks for all the welcomes guys i shall defo try and make the next borough meet, thanks for the heads up garret, lol was bitten by the bug years ago, but am finally realising that it can be reality rather than me standing on the pavement/sitting in my car watching all those beautifull bikes pass me by! when i pass im still stuck between getin a zxr 400… or one of the 600s, but well see closer to the time!
theyre gonna get learner to negotiate their way through traffic cones with ken livingstons face painted on them making it near impossible to pass. the temptation to hit one will be too great for many:(
