I just want to praise the friendly reception recieved on a recent trip on which we stopped for lunch at The Station Inn on the A269 between Hawkhurst and Rye.
This is an excellent road and after a run down to Camber and a day spent on the beach we found excellent food on offer (not just standard pub stuff), I had beautifully cooked piece of salmon with a sweet and tangy chilli sauce served on crushed new potatoes and green beans. The landlady even gave us a couple of post meal cigarettes, a really good host who welcomed us with great services and friendly chat.
So if you’re out with your mates or you partner stop off here on the way back for a bite and a refreshing sup.
