More importantly, Larry was there and in good form. If you’re lucky, he’ll have a rant about something, which is usually very funny. Yesterday (don’t ask me how) he got onto the shoddy design of horses (“a boiler supported by 4 drinking-straws where the rider sits on the weakest part”), and this progressed to the rubbish design of horse-boxes, SUVs and his contempt for those that drive them, especially if the driver is female. I know that his opinions may have been coloured by some unhappy past experiences, but nonetheless, it was classic stuff.
