I’m sure some of you know about this already and have been going there like me for years, but if you don’t know, it’s a wonderful country restaurant with a small bar area. The food is brilliant, the atmosphere is relaxed and easy going and there’s plenty of parking. They also have some great accommodation if you fancy a stop over.
This is not an ordinary pub and it’s not a typical gastropub, it’s completely unpretentious and relaxed but the food is brilliantly presented and cooked perfectly. Friendly and helpful staff and if you’re into wine, I gather they have an interesting collection.

It’s just off the A600 near the junction with the A507 between Baldock and Bedford. A few of miles from junction 9 of the A1.
