Power commander and remap needed for slip-on exhaust mod?

Just bought myself a Laser Xtreme gp style exhaust for my hornet 600 (2009), it says that it doesn’t require a remap
but i thought i’d find out how much it might be anyway and it seems to be really adding up in cost!

Do i need to remap?
What are the benefits?
If i do it will i never look back?

These are the questions running around my mind

Cheers

I just fitted a PC3 to my SV1000, i’ve got BlueFlame cans and a K&N filter, and it’s made a big difference. Throttle response is a lot crisper, more grunt. I didn’t need to get a custom map as dynojet already had a map for my cans and air filter on their website which i downloaded (was free). I had a look on the website for your bike and exhaust set-up, couldn’t find a specific map, so if you do get a PC, you’ll need a custom map which’ll set you back about £150-160, depending on where you go.
