PIRELLI ROSSO!!!

Hi all,

Right need some new tyres for my 05 blade but dont know what to get.dont like the bridgestones, they take a long time to worm up and they are crap in the wet!!!

I had pilot powers 2ct on my sv650 thought they were very good but dont know what they would be like on a 1000cc.

Any one got them on a litre bike?

Herd good thing about these new Rosso tyres so any info on them would be appreciated.

Has any one got them on there bike? if yes what they like?

thanx benyboy

fair number of threads on these tyres fella.a number of us run the 2ct on litre bikes. great tyre. the newer products like the rosso and 016s look interesting. think there’s a review in this months bike or two mag

thanx for that i will have a look. I did search for pirelli rosso but didnt get much up really.

Just wanted to know if any one has them and if they recomend them!

When I got my 'bird the other week it had brand new tyres on it, MAXXIS hadnt heard of them before but saw review in a mag got good write up, warm up a treat and stick like the proverbial to a blanket  oh and seem fine in the wet considering they look like a cut slick  pic in herts gallery will let peeps now how they wear etc.

go for them again mate! from what i hear they are good on liter bikes. i havent changed over, i found that powers are a great on teh SV, still got teh front tyre you put on it:w00t:

Basically, Rossos are fantastic for grip in the dry, but they are single sticky compound unlike the 2cts which are hard in the middle and sticky on the sides, so they will probably have inferior tyre life in comparisson and square off more quickly.

On the other hand, they’ll most likely offer superior grip whilst they last…

If you really need that

I replaced the standard fit Dunaplops on my bike with a set of Rossos about 3 weeks ago.

What I’ve noticed is that they are much more stable when you have the bike banked right over, where the Dunaplops used to feel a bit squirmy / nervous.

The profile of the tyres seems higher which I can feel by the bike turning sharper too.

I’m really chuffed with them.
