I was thinking today at work while driving glancing at some of the road surface they are rough out there espically in london and i though why not do a petition get it signed by loads of bikers and see if we can get something done about the state of the roads, please give me a heads up if you think this is a good idea, it can be also a way of promomiting london bikers as well
Or report the fault
I dont want to sound rude but there all get ruined again in a few months with all the traders and lorries going through there all the time all road surfaces need to be made out of something stonger we all pay road tax and som more then overs they should repair them tho it does take the biscuit
yeah point taken
but even if the fill in pothles it would make alot of difference
when a pothole is filled it always seems to degrade faster than the rest of the road
just like some of the ace cafe tarmac espically near the door
and those ba$t4rd metal drains in the middle of the roads - Had the wheels slide on them before!
If you report the road to a local authority then they are in the **** if something bad happens and they don’t do anything about it.
What might be a good idea here is perhaps if there is a raod that is bad and someone reports it they also post here and encourage others to do the same. This way there are numerous complaints about a road then its more likely to get sorted quicker
Just a thougt… the BMF produce little cards about this too!
As per my link
Yeah! Thats them!
So if you see a crap road surface let the rest of us know and those that see it report it too!
To be fair have seen a lot of road surfaces replaced in recent months and think they do a pretty good job of repairing what they can as it must be a huge task to try and repair everything out there and not possible to do it all. Even when repaired with such heavy volume of traffic busses and lorries they get mangled again pretty bad very quickly. The ones that are seriously dangerous ie huge potholes like recently seen near Waterloo station I shall report Worth a go good luck fella.
Would also be nice if the boroughs actually got round to sweeping away the masses of loose grit (from that shell grip stuff??) around traffic islands, especially at traffic lights.
Bloke at work laid it on the deck coming up the outside to a set of lights, a touch of the front brake made the wheel lock up on the grit.
I was told today that the council are SUPPOSED to check road surfaces every 3/4 months…whats the bets they DONT…lack of man power/hours/(lazyness)…thing is, there are going to be more bikers down and more damaged bikes WE have to fund to get fixed, until they are seen to do something…i know its a task…cos im gonna be fighting my own case now…please see my thread “Blades OK”…im gonna need all your help?
