No actually, we were brough out by a extremly large American company, but still brand our products with our Licence name. We do no biotech, or research. There is a GSK near me!We supply many products… to many GP’s, hositpals and well know known shops…
I only work part time but still get 15% discount (at sports world ) Shame I don’t like anything in there really. Only thing I’ve ever bought from there is trainers.
My dad however works at a bike dealership as one of the mechanics - and the guy who runs it lets me use my dads staff discount for everything. I get parts cheap if I need them and don’t pay service charges, oh and I get bikes dirt cheap aswell apparently
All that and I don’t even do the job
I enjoy my job, have many perks… being able to drive all the fleet vehicles , corporate entertainment (trackdays), time off whenever I feel like it, travel expenses paid and I get to sh@g the boss :w00t:
Get paid to thrash someone else’s BMW bikes and cars(obviously only when necessary!!!).I can go down Constitution Hill at 70mph legally unlike Elad:P.Of course plenty of Latte’s at quality cafes in Central London(but no doughnuts, too much saturated fat!!)
i enjoy my work tremandously mainly because in office i feel no pressure and no need to kiss anybody’s ass. it is made possible because i cannot see much chance of being promoted.
Afraid they are - drugs are normally granted a 10 year patent so after the 10 years you have make your “ingredients” available to the public and the price generally drops by 90%Thats how ASDA or other generics can sell paracetamol for 16p when anadin branded products costs £2 or £3. ASDA havent paid for any or the research or testing (but have waited 10 yrs). The idea is for pharma companies to have a drug pipeline so when a patent ends and values drop then another drug comes into production to fill the gap. If they cant do this then there are normally massive job cuts.I also work for a pharma/healthcare company
My shift system means i do 2 days then 2 nights then have 4 days off so i work half the year, but then you add to that 21 days annual leave, 4 days ACAS leave, 4 days extra annual leave, 4 days long service leave and 8 days public holidays it ends up quite a perk!:D:P:D
