People breaking 1 way signal

I am seriously pissed off… my road is a 1 way and idiots keep coming in the wrongw ay. They simply don’t give a ****, and not only that but they speed on it as if it is their right of way and doing over 30 mph. I had some close runs and I am seriously thinking to just run into one of them next time I see them. I have to go all the way around so why can’t they??

Would appreciate any advice on where and who to complain to. Frankly this will end in a nasty road rage incindent from my part. Either that or I am going to start storing bricks or stones and throw them as they pass by.

hide in the bushes with a laser pen then zap them in the eyes and make them crash, then call the police and say there drunk:w00t:

Andrei, find out who your local Safer Neighbourhood Team is and contact them. Me and other officers in my team deal with things like this or pass it on to those in the know. You can find out who they are by going onto the METROPOLITAN POLICE WBSITE and following the links to the safer neighbourhood site. Hope it helps

Thanks mate, much appreciate it. This must be done as it is getting out of hand. I am getting annoyed as hell because they are breaking the law in broad daylight coming down the wrong way and making me to take evasive action to avoid them, but if I make a wrong turn I get fined and get points… wtf.

no problems…or use the idea above :D:hehe::smiley:

Id tell the council and the police about whats happening and say that a child could get killed as they won`t expect a car to come down the wrong way.

I get it all the time down my road, how thick must they be not to see it written in BIG fuggin letters NO ENTRY ? If im coming the other way I stay in middle of road and make them stop, if they gob off I point to the signs and refuse to move till they turn round, works everytime

Well if the Bikesafe officer is right, then get the reg number and make, model and colour and report it to the Met. It will get entered into the crime database and then if there is a lot of complaints against them they will investigate.

I saw something similar the other day. Some people haere are probably familiar with the one way system in Kingston. buses can bypass some of it by going through a buses only slip road-type thing outside the trainstation/Rotunda. I saw a car going down there the other day, being driven by thie little old (really old) nun.

Nuns must be exempt from traffic laws…

I encountered that before!, just round the corner from where I live is a one way road… I was going down it once and a car just turned into it coming towards me… the road is very narrow and has cars up either side of it. I held my ground as he came towards me and just rode straight towards him (both doing low speeds). The guy was just staring at me with a blank look on his face like a slapped fish, when it got to the point where we were about a metre away from each other he stopped, I then stopped… It was like a wild west show down!. He then actually wound down his window and asked me to reverse backwards in between two parked cars so he could get past!.. My response was shouting “My bike only goes forward and your in a one way road!”… then displaying the appropriate finger :D:D … I made him reverse all the way back down the road! ;)

as way above the local safer neighbour hood team will deal with this pretty well,

i think the old bill would like to know, drivers like that should be banned for life…

a bit unfair i know but i reckon drivers should retake their test every year and if they fail they should lose their full licence and go back to L plates and take driving lessons again… we are all guilty of not adhering to the highway code but there are some total f+++wits out there who just don’t give a damn…

that should apply to anyone who uses the roads then !!!

yeah why not. then perhaps the roads will be safer for everybody !!! even more importantly cyclists !!!

Thanks, all good advice, will keep a diary and try and get it on camera as it happens. To be honest I haven’t called my local number yet but will do so. This happens a lot of time, I am sure if they ask the local residents about it they will all vouch this issue is out of hand.

Must be a right dick not to see the no entry sign and marking in road…
