Parking

the thing is where i work there is no secure parking for bikes… i used to be able to park my bike in the barclays car park and no worries, but now the branch manager thinks that my new bike is likely to cause scratches on her s***ty cars…

is it possible to park my bike on the pavement and chain it to a lamp post or something?i know that in other countries you can park a bike on the pavement out of the way and get no ticket or man in a van trying to wheel it away…

i would like to be able to keep an eye out on it but the only place there seems to be space for it is in an alley way where people walk through to get to the offices… thats ok but there is no fixed things to chain the bike too… and i dont want it getting stolen… it has always got a boss alarmed disc lock on it and chain goes through the back wheel and around the hand rails… i try my best to twist it in and out, to look more complicated but i still worry…

any suggestions other than leave it at home would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

where do you park ?

In the majority of London you will get a ticket for parking on the pavement though some councils are more lenient than others. Alleyways will probably get you a ticket as well. So you should proabbly park in a bay where it will get scratched or stolen. Welcome to England where councils and government believe in getting more and more money out of you and the word discretion is not in their vocabulary.

s*** I thought was only London!!!
