Parking your bike at Gatwick Airport

Hi folks,

according to motorcycleparking.com

‘bikes can park free of charge at Gatwick in the dedicated motorcycle areas. Motorcycles must not be parked in the bays that are meant for cars. The locations of the dedicated motorcycle bays are as follows: South Terminal – Car Park 2 – bays on each floor / North Terminal – on ground floor of car park’.

Unfortunately this was last updated a year ago so I don’t know if anything’s changed. Does anyone leave their bike there regularly? Is ir safe? I’m popping over to the Milan bike show so it’ll be there overnight.

Cheers,

Watty.

Parked there a few months back, was free, although I ended up in the long term for some reason rather than short term, my directions probably…

Dont worry if you do end up in long term, down the one way road with only barriers infront, just get a ticket, go through then go to the ticket desk they were very helpful and sorted me out for free

Thanks Elad. Actually all the info’s on their website :Whistling: doh! GatwickCheers, Watty.

I know for sure that there is free parking at the north terminal. Have to work there once or twice a month, follow the signs for the short term car park, and directly after the entrance to the carpark there is a lowered kerb. Turn left over the pavement, and your there.

However this is likely to change due to the redevelopment that is going on.

No idea about the South Terminal.

Also there is loads of bike parking at Heathrow, Terminals 1 & 2. None close by to T3, and don’t know about T4 (currently looking into this as will be working there shortly).

Bike parking at T4, follow the black cabs and you cant miss it.

No idea, I only parked there for the day. But I did see one bike there for a couple of weeks. As long as you are chained up, there is enough traffic to risk it. But personally I would go on the Gatwick Express.

Thanks for that.

prity much my thoughts, i’ll post my experience later in case anyone’s interested.

Gatwick express not really an option.
