Took one of my kids back to the ex, about 5 mins away come back and theres a clio cage parked across my driveway asked all the neighbours no one knows whos it is 2 hrs now the parking is very limited and i cant get my car on my driveway if i had my car in the garage i wouldnt be able to get it off the drive.
what do i do push it out the way with the wifes 4x4 , let the tyres down, send my four year old out with a set of keys, police aint intrested , May be some ones seen my bikes and marked the garage there in???
Try and ge the cars either side to park as close as possible to its bumpers no way of moving unless they come knocking then or try bumper cars to get out!
council wont do nothing said ring back if its still there in the morning!! its still there now 4 hrs later just put all the chains ive got on all the bikes move one and all the alarms will go off wouldnt get in the garage with out oxy cutters anyway , but its the inconsiderate bit of not being able to park on my drive way, Cant block it in as then id block the neighbours in .
if its still there in the morning ill jack the back up and push it with the 4x4, as jay said , lol , fugging inconsiderate b’stds
I remember when I was young, it happened a few times to my parent’s driveway… my old man used to get the right hump and stick a notice on the driver’s side on the windscreen with a very generous helping of araldite.
How he never ended up with his windows bricked I don’t know !
Try living opposite a middle class private nursery/playgroup and you sort of get used to it.
Happened to me this morning that a snotty cow (metallic red clio) parked in the driveway that serves five houses. Got her away from gabbing with her other herd members to find that we now had a Tesco Direct van parked across the drive entrance and she couldn’t get out.
She got right hump with the driver for being so inconsiderate!
My neighbour, also now trying to get out of the drive, calmly and very politely pointed out the irony to her.
We have the same happen to us on a daily basis, we live opposite a private school where 99.9% of them drive to. If my cars not on the drive they will park right up on it under my window (god this trick has seen alot of violence erupt) or across it blocking me from getting on/off it.
There is nothing you can do, its not illegal only polite that people do not park across it when there is no vehicles on it. IF you were parked on your drive and they blocked you that’s a different matter and the car CAN be towed.
i live a stone’s throw away from the giant mosque in hounslow and it happens all the time. I havwe spoken to the council and the only thing you can do is speak to the parking enforcement and get them to make it on there routes to give people tickets down your street.
other than that theres nothing you can do, though someone told me they use to use wheel jacks and move the car into the middle of the road and then complain to the police and they would have it removed as an obstruction. IM very tempted to do this next time. also once had a polish builder who concreted the pavement to our driveway and he tried telling me I wasnt allowed to leave my premises and put a barrier across the exit of our driveway.
The police will only be interested in the vehicle, if, it is causing an obstruction to the highway, or if there is somethng illegal about the vehicle.
Put the vehicle into the middle of the road, and then they will be interested in it.
Also see if the vehicle has valid road tax, they will be interested then, also if you take the number plates off, they will also be interested themn.
I must admit, the police and the council are getting worse at dealing with these types of vehicles, I have had this 5 times now, and the best one, is to move it, as the police usually only contact the owner and ask politely for them to move the vehicle - last time it tool a week for it to move.
as above nothing the police can do to be honest, fecking laws are not on the decent folks side, just letting the tyres down will mean it will probably end up parked up for loger where it is, just move it with the 4x4 just dont damage it though the last thimng you need is the tossser saying you have caused damage to it and you getting nicked.
You could ask the council to paint a white line across the driveway it costs £90 pound where we are but it does work. As for the car being moved by the council or anyone - no chance unless its causing a traffic violation.
