Organ donation - have you considered it?

I picked this up from another site and thought I would share the idea.

I was wondering how many of us have signed up for organ donation?

I’ve carried a card for years but you can also register your details online which (if the worst ever happens) might help somebody else live. As a biker I feel a responsibility to live up to our reputation as organ donors!

If enough of us did it then is this something that might actually be a positive story for bikers?

I’ve been registered as an organ donor far ages now but after reading this I’ve started to have second thoughts about it :frowning:

I have been regisitered for 5yrs now i think its a good thing to help others :slight_smile:

I carry a donner kebab card and Wendy knows that if anyone asks, and I’m definitely dead, then they can have whatever spares they can salvage…

Been registered for donating body parts since i was 21 always said that me brain would be donated to a lab …been trying to figure out my brain for years …see if the scientists can do a better job:w00t::hehe:

On a slightly different tack - my mum has signed forms to donate her body to science when she dies.

She’s from Yorkshire and wants to save money on Funeral costs for us kids (and of course to help medical students as well).

Just to side track… have you thought about blood donations… If you want a positive spin on bikers… arrage to meet as a group and all donate…i know they are also need blood, sister always telling me about it, being an A&E nurse in all…

Ive heard about this but if I went this route then id also want whatever organs/bits salvageable to be donated if it could save someones life.

Also religiously donated blood in SA (I have a relatively rare blood group) but when I came over here they refused me. Might be able to start again since its been a good while since I was resident there.

Back on topic. Yeah considered it but just never got round to it. Gonna pull my finger out this year and get it all sorted.
