Nipped to the post office yesterday, got there just before the lunchtime rush of office folk. The queue was out the door! They even had staff handing out sweets to keep the masses happy.
But most of the queue was old folk sending stacks of Xmas cards, old folk who probably are retired & have all day to got to the shops, why choose midday when people on lunch breaks want to be in & out asap. Are they all just like Mrs Brady (The old lady) from Viz? Out to ruin everyones day?
Anyway, 30 minutes later I paid my bill & I was allowed to get back to non-queuing activities.
just remember you will be old one day…dont try to knock them as they have more voters than us, are wealthier than us and generally have more time to cause havok than us so dont annoy the pensioners…as nothing good will come of it…
To be honest, I am looking forward to that point in my life, around 25 years from now when I can do the same thing That is if the post office still exists then?

Send them to the gas-chambers, along with the great unwashed you have to endure when you’ve smashed-up your bike and have to use public transport and the passengers and drivers on buses who will keep pulling out without signalling and clogging up the road just before you want to use that bit of road, not forgetting those who can’t type or spell accurately.
In my local post office it is the postmaster behind the counter that slows everything down. Everytime I go in there it takes 20 or 30 minutes to do a couple of special delivery packages. Extremely frustrating!
Will completely understand if it gets selected for closure.
