I am just about to lose it today… I ride around London, starting at 4 in the morning til about 1pm. During this time I go through a lot of traffic lights which are there for a reason and have red, amber and green lights and traffic depends on them. Now, pedestrians also have traffic lights in form of Red Man and Green Man. As the red light usually means STOP, the Red Man also means STOP!!! So why do pedestrians just carry on walking across the road then? I beep the horn at the ones that walk on the RED MAN or anywhere else across the roads where its unsafe for them to cross and I get told to eff off… I am not the one jumping lights or get in their way, they are the ones getting in mine, I have the right to be on the road!!!:w00t:

Yep totally agree. My bikes still got the scratches from when i droopped her trying to avoid a dozy strolling across the road when the lights were RED for her, but my pet peeve is the sheep mentality of pedestrians. For the full experience Leicester square / Picadilly is the place to go.
i was cycling into to work today, and a biker was walking across a set of lights at bishopsgate. The little man was red for him but this guy started ranting at me, as obviously it must be my fault for cycling :rolleyes:…
unfortunatley it is always the pedestrians right of way I’m afraid I’m sure the law is something like as long as they are not stood still they have priority…
but I know what you mean though had one myself this morning, walked out as my light went green I revved it, they did not even look at me just carried on strolling across the road.
r6babe- it’s my job hun, I wake up at 3.30a.m. every day, leave for work at 4, get to work, take a company bike and start my early morning duties at 5.30 til 1pm then give the bike back, finish work, get on my own bike and go home:D
