Just got an SMS telling me one of my old work colleuges died in a bike accident last night, he isn’t a member of LB but I wanted to share my thoughts.
Bob Tate worked with me at Thales Telematics in Chessington, I worked with him developing the CAT5 tracking system and he and I were heavily involved in providing the solution for T-Trac, the system that PH Motorcycles were marketing.
He was a new biker, inspired by seeing me testing and installing the trackers and bikes for PH motorcycles and said it wasn’t fair that I should be the only one to be involved riding the bikes!
He passed his test last year and was enjoying his new found freedom, he leaves behind a wife and kids
A well loved bloke who spent his last months trying to improve bike security.
Really sorry to hear the news mate, especially after such a good night. There seems to be far to much of it happening at the moment. I hope you’re bearing up pal and pass my sincerest condolences onto his wife and kid.
Jeez, such bad timing. Wiggetta, you have my condolences, nobody should go through this! I wish all new bikers would do BikeSafe or further training, it really helps!
