North London favorite roads, or there abouts

Just put a Tomtom on the bike and wonderd if you knew of any nice local rides, lots of twistys please, or places to visit.

Sewardstone Road between Chingford and Waltham Abbey then continue through The Abbey and down Crooked Mile to Nazeing has always been a fave of mine:cool:

Wuss - get a good map

is this near a wee place called upshire?

i was there earlier…

Yes mate Upshire is a turning off that route and some nice roads up past Epping too.

You aint far from High Beach there either.

If you’re that far up,carry on to the B183 from Harlow up through Hatfield Heath and Hatfield Broad Oak and thru Thaxted to Finchingfield and then the B1057 up to Haverhill. That should put a grin on your face

I thought i was pushing it by calling Chingford, W/Abbey and Nazeing North London;):P:D

not really north london though!Lol

not so much grin on my face, more like crap in my pants, my riding was shiteeeee tonight.
lol

Try this one for ‘North London’ Hune up the A1 to Baldock - then follow the nice smooth new dual carrigway through tunnel towards Royston, 3rd RA at Royston pick up A10, follow that till Hertford, off there into town, left at 2nd RA towards Essendon - twistys! then Signs for Potters Bar, then M25 back to A1 - repeat until happy!

If you’re going all the way to Baldock it would be rude, if not downright illegal, not to ride the A507 over to Buntingford. Sometimes heavily policed though.

Wha-hey! The Baldock - Buntingford I know, was on the last Dunstable Downs rideout.

I too have a new satnav, Garmin 550, looks the business having toyed with it for a little while. Is it possible to share favourite routes in a common file format (i.e. common with TomTom Rider2 etc)? I’m just getting into the capabiities of these things, they seem quite configurable.

Still love maps, Jetstream

Yeah the Essendon bends are wicked.

Ah - the A507 … heavily policed indeed. Saw 5-0 there recently with an odd looking dome on the roof - research suggested some sort of 360 degree video/laser combination. Nice.

sssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh;):D:P
