On my way home this morning I saw a new average speed camera, East bound between Bridge Lane traffic lights and the A1, not seen any others yet but will be keeping my eyes peeled in the morning

These seem to be popping up everywhere now. I miss the good old days when it was just for roadworks and they were forward facing.
They have big sections of them along the Amsterdam ring road where you’ll see 5 lanes of open road, only the first 3 are occupied and absolutely no one is speeding. I hate them but they are effective.

this fucking disease is spreading faster than cancer CBR500R commuterits only going to get worse - as average speed camera's must be better at regulating the speed of a road over a longer stretch than a single camera. It all depends on the cost of installing and maintaining them compared to a single camera (and if there is a greater tracking error on number plates etc.)
