I think they are brilliant, but they don’t seem all that popular.
A noosed 1m chain should have about the same reach as a 2 meter chain for when you’re chaining to a lamppost. That’s a big plus for space and weight saving.
What are your experiences with them and what are the drawbacks?
if the noose is pulled tight around the wheel then how does the chain lock onto the post? this type of chain seems “non-beneficial” the way its used
I think idea is you use the chain without the sleeve
Loop the noose around a lamp post, pull tight and then loop the free end of the chain through the rear wheel and secure as normal through the first available link
The noose part is put around the lamp post.
The chain end is threaded through somewhere tight on the bike then a mini D lock is fitted to the end.
