For most of my life i have had occasional bad nightmares, ussually after being very tired through not being able to get to sleep.
I know i am having a bad dream and can often wake myself up by digging my nails into my hands or making myself fall out of bed :ermm:
After eventually getting to sleep at about 4am this morning because of severe toothache… it started…
to cut a long scary dream short it culminated in a big hairy ‘monster’ of some sort pinning me to the bed and slowly making its way toward my face…sounds funny but it is not :w00t::w00t::w00t:
couldn’t wake myself so started shouting HELP,HELP …and screaming as loud as i could over and over again untill eventually i woke fishface upstairs who then came down and woke me up .
Its allright fishy,daddy isn’t really a complete raving loony.:unsure::unsure::unsure:
I’ve had a couple of nightmares recently. Woke up Thursday morning with some trying to break into the flat rush to the front door just as the guy came through and he then stabbed me in the guts. And then I really woke up, had to check myself over, made sure front door was locked and then turned the dead bolts as well. Couldn’t get back to sleep. :ermm:
Then Friday morning woke up to find that I was in the process of being eviscerated, and then stitched up, couldn’t move and could scream. I woke up as the put the last of the stitches in me. Had to double check that I didn’t have stitches from throat to groin. Again couldn’t get back to sleep. :sick:
Deeply, deeply unpleasant.
It’s really fascinating want the subconscious mind can do when you are not offline. :crazy:
Kev, this thread could get a bit gory if there are more people like me and you …i had a couple of dreams where the person chasing me wouldn’t give up and i couldn’t wake up so i had to cut their arms and legs off to prevent them runnung or grabbing onto me, the detail was pretty horrific and i was covered in blood. Of course when i did wake up i was covered in sweat but until i managed to turn on the light i really thought it was blood.
Wow - nutters! Only kidding, I’ve had some pretty weird dreams - but of a different sort. I got in to a spot of bother when I was a younger - and now a lot of my dreams revolve around going to prison as a result of my actions. Or my wife cheating on me and for about 5 minutes after waking up I feel as tho’ whatever played out in the dream is real? I know it sounds really weird - but I was real angry with my wife! Poor woman didn’t even do anything.
Woohoo!! I am not the only one who suffers night terrors (as my dr calls it) Feel for you zeph having toothache as well …not a good combo:w00t: I personally have suffered with nightmares and insomnia which is because i’m afraid to sleep cos of the terrors since i was 11 and i had to have an operation, sometimes they are’nt so bad others can scare the crap outta me(and steve:Dwho usually legs it out the room thinking ive become possesed lol) and i wake up screaming and cannot get back to sleep for that strange fear your going to fall back into the same dream:w00t: tried most the pills and hypnosis, been monitored in hospital sleep clinic overnight and basicly i have to live with it! nowt works …
pmsl i think every one has had at-least one mental dream before i was half asleep and half awake and i was fighting and wrestling a shark apparently and flying my hands about:w00t: I’ve also woke up and thought there was spiders all over me witch i don’t get cos spiders don’t bother me…:hehe:
I love a ‘good old’ bad dream which raises the heart rate. Feels so real at the time. More into erotic ones now, where I get violated in the middle of the night

i had a dream the other day that there was a snake and an elephant at the end of my bed. At some point the snake managed to eat the elephant. It then got into a carrier bag and stayed there waiting for me to move. i couldn’t even go pee:crying:
Here’s one for ya… i was in afghan this time last year, and i still have dreams of being there, thing is, i was in the raf… stationed at kandahar airbase, relatively safe considering. (except for the nightly rocket attacks)…
Anyhow, my dreams consist of being in the thick of the action, going on patrol, getting shot at lots, close combat and all that it entails, dreaming that i actually get shot and so on and so forth. What the hell is all that about???
