 hi welcome to LB from another female biker

get an sv650  i love my one

Hello good evening & welcome. Numpty here! If your new to biking I’d go for something mid range 500 - 650cc and then pick whatever you like the look of. You’ll get all sorts of technical advice from people the best of which will be, make sure it’s got two wheels.

Cheers

Hi sexybiker! take a look at a Honda Hornet or Kawasaki ER6 or Yamaha MT01 - all great bikes in town but more than capable of carrying you further afield if you want to. They all look sexy (which is obviously a key feature for someone called sexybiker!) , and from what I’ve experienced/read are reliable, perform well and are a lot of fun to ride. I would be more than happy to ride any of them. Personally I’d go for the Hornet.

Welcome to the Madhouse

hello and welcome,

Don’t listen to him, everyone knows the 750 is where it’s at!!

On a serious note, height, build and experience (yours not the bikes!) will all play a factor in which bike you go for, along with budget and where you plan on keeping it? No point buying a GSX1400 if you’ve just passed your test, are 5’ nothing, size 8 and and will have to leave it on the street in Brixton for example.

I’m 6’ 2" and 11 stone, my first bike was a 1991 Suzuki GSX600F(teapot), great first bike, very capable, reasonably priced at the time and went just fine, however the brakes were poor for the power, and being an older bike it was reasonably heavy when stationary/manoeuvring about, all things you’ll need to bear in mind.

Best of luck whichever bike you go with and welcome to the madhouse!

Look how many replies you get when put sexybiker and the word female in your blog! Going to check out your profile now, lets hope you have good photo up there!

Oh ye welcome!
