Newbie police alert :-)

Am bumping this as have noticed a few Newbies getting a slating in the Newbie section for asking questions before introducing themselves. Come on Folks - be nice and give people a bit of leeway!!:D:D If I’d have got that kind of welcome when I first joined LB, I’d have been off this forum like a shot.

Hels is right. LondonBikers is our tribal meeting place - so lets present a nice face to our new tribe members!

I’m a newbie and got a very nice welcome in the Newbie section. Still haven’t found a way to truly integrate as I’m still finding my way around the forum. Seems nice though. Annnnd I am trying to sell a bike (although for some reason the mods haven’t let it on the ‘for sale’ bit yet!! :-))

Well glad you got a welcome - it usually takes time for the mods to let a bike post on, as they don’t go on immediately.

No I was concerned as I went on the Newbie section this eve and noticed one poor girl asking about what bike to go to university on, and the first response she got was a downright rude one!! Then I noticed another poor sod getting the same treatment, so i felt I should say something. It’s far far worse to be unwelcoming and unfriendly, than to not introduce yourself properly.

So it was a plea to be nice and accommodating towards others and to make people feel welcome on here.:D:D

JohnP, I am naming and shaming you! Its not always what you say its the way you say it

Yeah JP, you might find one of the Newbies is an Armed and Dangerous nutter who comes looking for you in a fit of pique at the BM, intent on revenge :)
