After seeing ginger_pixie’s Bandit for sale (and clearing a bit of room in my garage) I couldn’t help myself… and have purchased the bike, with a view to doing most of the necessary work myself (the Haynes manual arrived yesterday!)

So I warn you all in advance that there might be a few questions from me for when the Haynes manual gets too confusing, or need some sort of specialist tools…

Oh yeah, I need to do an accelerated access test as well to get a proper license, have outgrown 33bhp already.:unsure:

Project you say? What have you got in mind?

Well when I say project I mean service it all myself and minor cosmetic tweaks, and probably a new exhaust.
Pretty simple for some but probably a challenge for myself ! :rolleyes:

I just had a look around on the site - what does a tenner unlock ? cos from what I see there isn’t loads on the site, maybe cos it’s not a member ?

Well hopefully they won’t **** me up too much:
The bike ain’t gonna be fightered or severely customised, just put through a rigorous service / tune / sorting out, with a bit of cosmetic attention.
I have a years no claims.
I am 32 years old.
Bike is in a secure garage.

Naturally I have run some dummy insurance quotes and TBH it isn’t much more than my GS500.
