Just thought I’d say…BOO! Na only joking, all new to the site so looking for the same as everybody else really…to meet new people and maybe new friends? I’ve just turned 42 and being single with a teenage daughter…mid life hits! So I went out and picked myself up a Ducati 748S 2002, always wanted one but just never did until now haha. I’ve had a good run on bikes…but stopped riding when daughter was born due to her mum “your gunna die…blah-blah”. Guess what didn’t help was I raced 250cc prods for 4 years so she had cause for concern back then. Now 13 years later I find myself 1) old 2) out of touch with the biking world 3) old 4) no friends who would even think about a bike lol! So here I am, talking to everyone on here in hope to change things? I’m a friendly guy who’s to old to care but to young to know any better lol. so say hello and we’ll take things from there, looking forward to meeting you guys & girls.
Dave (my real names Rodney but I’m sure many of you will understand).
All this mid-life crisis lark is a load of donkey, men don’t suffer from that tosh my boy…mid-life…Na…doing what the hell I like and having fun whoop-whoop…OH SOD-IT…yep its my mid-life crisis, dam this getting old! Right young birds and a sports car for me then…tally oh!
Popin at 1st Monday of the month to Ace as someone already said, or any Wednesday at Borough Market. I believe that weather now is a bit to anti-ducati so we may see you later but if you brave enough, we have RapidBikeRecovery as backup.
And don’t worry we all love italian exotica, some just like to take the p… out of it.
Thanks for the very warm welcome everyone…ahhhhh…can’t believe you lot! I signed up for the Ducati forum and as yet haven’t had a single hello for weeks hahaha…hmmm, I’m better than you kinds I guess? I don’t care what you all say…I’ve got a duke (Betsy) and I luv her even if no body else does and as a fair weather rider I’m sure my relationship with her will be just fine…or not lol. I’ve done all the rain and snow riding and now enjoy the comfy car until the sun shines or hell freezes over which ever comes first living in England! At the mo I’m with a bad shoulder and torn stuffs from a big wave bodyboarding trip to Morocco grr so cant ride even if wanted to! So again thank you guys & girls for the very warm welcome and I cant wait to spend some time with you all taking the mick out of me owning a duke…breaking down…spending time fixing her…etc.
hahaha…my most fav bit of OF’n’H! Trust me over the years having my name has caused many to enjoy laughter…at me most of the time and its funny but everyone seems to think I’ve never been called a “plonker” before! The joy in there eyes when they say it like it’s the first time I’ve ever heard it! Still its better to make people laugh than cry so I’m happy to plonker it up…never gets old!
