Love the look but i hope they have still got that Monster noise from the exhaust system?
The Panigale doesn’t have that deep burble that the previous 1198/1098 had and seeing as they are going to use the same engine in this generation Monster i hope they have added something to give it that riotous noise.
Looked like they borrowed Ratty in the knee down shots, only other person I know that can get that close to putting their knee down while going in a straight line.
Did you notice that they never really had any lean angle on that bike? Does it not go round corners?
you’re a bit late mate… Ducati stopped with the dry clutch since a couple of years and I think it’s a good thing (I do miss the sound tho)
…also one of the most famous Monster S4R was liquid cool, wasn’t it?
Rixxy a second bike… a superbike, liquid cooled!
That’s why he’s happy with the power of the 1100.
I think Ducati is going towards the right direction.
Now they only have to get rid of the ambiguous Streetfighter and just focus on the Monster
I can’t agree with the bit in bold at all. Also, the Monster’s a cafe racer, not a naked superbike like the streetfighter series. It’s a lot easier to look cool when it hasn’t got all the liquid cooled gubbins around it. When I think of a Monster, I’m thinking of the M900 - the S4R wasn’t really, for me, what a Monster is meant to be about.
That’s because you are a traditionalist maybe.
Whilst I like a modern twist in classic things.
We certainly must be two different generations.
I’ve owned a 695 with dry one and a 696 with wet one.
If not for the lovely rattle, how can you prefer a dry clutch around town?
For me is better to have a bike to ride than a café racer to watch.
About the liquid cooled engine, I insist saying Ducati made the right choice!
It will sell like ****, you’ll see!
Streetfighter is pretty much useless in the range IMHO (and the sales can confirm).
Well, I’m 29 so perhaps we are. I never found a problem with the dry clutch round town - I owned a Multistrada 1000S for three years and rode it practically daily (when it was working).
However I don’t think the big air-cooled motors pass the latest noise and environmental regulations so it’s not so much Ducati making the right choice, but the only one!
